Job Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking Assistance:
- Assisting in the preparation of ingredients, such as washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, and marinating meats and fish.
- Learning and following standard recipes for basic Indian/Bangladeshi dishes, sauces, and tandoor items like breads and kebabs.
- Operating specific equipment like a tandoor oven, ensuring correct temperature control and safe handling.
- Cooking basic dishes under the supervision of a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Kitchen Operations & Hygiene:
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work station and ensuring overall kitchen cleanliness.
- Adhering strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols (HACCP principles if applicable).
- Assisting with the receiving, proper storage, and inventory of deliveries and stock, minimizing waste.
Teamwork & Communication:
- Following instructions diligently from senior chefs and superiors.
- Working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and contributing to a positive team dynamic.
- Assisting on other kitchen sections or with other duties when required due to staffing needs or emergencies.

Education
- SSC /HSC/ BA/Food Training Certified /Diploma in Culinary
Experience
- Basic culinary or bakery training preferred
- 3-5-year experience in a pastry or bakery kitchen
- Basic knowledge of pastry ingredients and techniques
Cuisine Knowledge (Preferred)
- Indian cuisines: North Indian, South Indian, Mughlai, Punjabi, Coastal, etc.
- Bangla cuisines: Biriyani, Fish curries, bhorta, bhuna, dal, rice dishes, traditional spice usage
- Knowledge of whole spices, spice grinding, and masala preparation
