Executive - Production MIS
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager/Head of Production
Key Responsibilities:
The Executive - Production MIS will be responsible for the accurate and timely collection, analysis, and reporting of all production-related data. This role is critical in providing insights to the production team for informed decision-making, process optimization, and efficiency improvements within the ice cream manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, proficiency in data management tools, and a good understanding of manufacturing operations.
Data Collection & Management:
- Collect daily, weekly, and monthly production data including but not limited to:
- Raw material consumption
- Finished goods production volume
- Wastage and spoilage figures
- Machine downtime and utilization
- Labor efficiency
- Quality control parameters relevant to production.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all collected data.
- Maintain and update production databases and record-keeping systems.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate regular (daily, weekly, monthly) production MIS reports summarizing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
- Production output vs. targets
- Yield analysis
- Wastage analysis
- Downtime analysis
- Cost of production per unit (in collaboration with finance, if required).
- Develop ad-hoc reports and presentations as requested by management.
- Analyze production trends, identify variances, and highlight areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize production processes and reduce costs.
System & Process Improvement:
- Assist in the development and implementation of new data collection and reporting systems.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data flow and improve the efficiency of MIS processes.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data integration and system functionality.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all data collection and reporting activities comply with company policies and relevant industry standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of all MIS procedures and reports.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Production, Quality Control, Inventory, and Maintenance teams to gather accurate data and provide relevant insights.
- Support the production team with data-driven decision-making.

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial & Production Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable university
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a Production MIS, Data Analysis, or similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the food or beverage industry, especially ice cream manufacturing, will be given preference
Additional Requirement Skills:
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, analyzes, and interprets complex data sets.
- Software Proficiency:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, charting).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, custom ERPs) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
