Job Title: Manager/Deputy Manager – R&D
Location: Narayangonj, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Jobs Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and testing of surfactant-based formulations for dishwashing and liquid detergents, ensuring high performance, safety, and compliance with local and international standards (e.g., BSTI, ISO).
- Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate formulation efficacy, stability, and compatibility with packaging materials.
- Optimize formulations to balance cost, performance, and environmental impact, incorporating sustainable and locally sourced raw materials where possible.
- Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and marketing teams to scale formulations from lab to commercial production.
- Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to innovate and improve formulations.
- Prepare technical documentation, including formulation reports, SOPs, and regulatory submissions.
- Mentor and guide junior R&D staff, fostering a culture of innovation and scientific rigor.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental regulations during product development.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver products on schedule.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field. A Master or PhD is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in R&D, with at least 3 years in surfactant-based product development (e.g., dishwashing detergents, liquid detergents, or cleaning products).
Additional Requirement

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience with international brands or MNCs is a strong advantage.
- Fluent in English will be added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of surfactant chemistry, emulsification, and formulation techniques.
- Proficiency in laboratory testing methods (e.g., foam stability, grease removal, viscosity analysis).
- Proficiency in using SAP systems.
- Familiarity with Bangladesh’s regulatory standards (e.g., BSTI) and global standards (e.g., REACH, ISO).
- Experience with scale-up processes from lab to production.
